New Ulm Food Shelf
The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is here to help feed the hungry and needy people. We distribute food Monday and Wednesdays from 12:00 PM to 2:45 PM and the first Monday of each month from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM.
We always welcome new clients and encourage you to visit the Food Shelf if in need of food. To register you will need to know your household income.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider. All clients are required to renew their registration each year in July.
Our Food Shelf will be closed for New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Christmas. If we are closed on the first Monday of the month for any reason, then we will be open on the second Monday of the month for both afternoon and evening.
If we are closed for any other reason, it will be announced on KNUJ radio (AM 860).
Nutritional Assistant Program for Seniors (NAPS)
Who is eligible for NAPS?
Men and women over age 60, Minnesota residents, those meeting income guidelines (click here to view guidelines). Must not reside in a facility that provides meals and must prepare own meals.
The New Ulm Area Emergency Food Shelf is a registered agent of the NAPS program, stop in and register anytime we are open, or call (507)354-7668 with any questions.
